Laaga Chunari mein Daag

Humble readers of yours truly!

I watched laaga chunari mein daag and of course "Fallen from Grace" was an inspiration I drew from that movie.

It was a very disturbing movie but the ending came as quite a disappointment. It is not the love for poignant endings in me speaking, just that it was very unrealistic.

So those of you who have watched the movie, let me know how you would have liked the movie to end or if you agree with the ending.

A curious writer,

Waiting for reader comments!

Hey Suchi I saw the movie, and was rather disappointed. Its a highly glossy rending of a prostitute, and for heaven's sake prostitute's dont have it that easy at all, definitely not to start with.

And off course the ending is like a regular kabhi khushi kabhi gam. When r these guys gonna get sick of have pairs of couples doing the wedding jingles?

I watched the movie in a theatre and felt quite kicked about the fact that they screen Indian movies here.
Shirsh, point 2 taken completely. She never was a over-the-road prostitute. She was supposed to be one of those "sophisticated" women who are kept by their bosses and kept for loads of money.
More than any of this what really shook me was the way she took that first step, that first decision to sleep with a guy. It was such an antithesis to all that she believed growing up and after that she became a stranger even to ourself.
So in that sense , the movie still has a chance, but the end was such a disappointment, as though it was literally changed just to fit into a concept the indian masses would buy.

Jaya I urge you to watch the movie so we can have a third opinion!
